 | Jingle Bell Chase - Louisville, KY For more details and to view photos of the event, click the link on the left. The Jingle Bell Chase takes place annually in December. It starts in downtown Louisville, runs across the 2nd Street Bridge into Indiana, and returns the same way. The race is three miles and contains no significant hills. Part of what makes this race so enjoyable is the festive holiday spirit of the runners. Bells are given to each runner to tie on their shoes. Since there is a costume contest, many people dress in holiday garb for the race.
