Mount LeConte - Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN

In the fall of 1999, our friend Brian was lucky enough to obtain reservations to stay in LeConte Lodge, at the top of Mount LeConte in the Smoky Mountains.  Brian invited me, Phil, and Reid to go along with him.  The lodge only accommodates around 50 people per night, and it is booked for a year in advance, so we jumped at the opportunity to spend a night there.

For our trip, we took the Alum Cave Trail to the top of Mount LeConte, and we hiked the Boulevard Trail back down.  We made it to the top rather quickly, so we got situated in our cabin, played Trivial Pursuit at the lodge, and hiked around before enjoying dinner.
