McNeely Lake Challenge - Louisville, KY I ran this race with Laura in 2003. Patti also ran 30K while Reid and Jeane ran the 15K distance. I think I must be born for hills because I thoroughly enjoyed myself during this entire race. Laura and I started out thinking we were running too fast, but we figured sooner or later, the distance would take its toll, so we decided to just enjoy it while it lasted. Well, it lasted 18.6 miles. We ran faster on the hills (per mile) than we did during our flat marathon in June, 2003. Although Laura was ready to kill me for my exuberance near the end of the run, we both had a great race and it's probably the most fun I've ever had running.
